Background
(2.0)
The modern era. A time where humans are flooded with information in our day to day lives. Almost everything there is to know about something is no more than a click away. As we move into the future, Bioinformatics, the use of computer technology to the documentation of biological and genetic information allows scientist and researchers to look into... us.
What exactly is Bioinformatics?
Bioinformatics is the an online record of genetic study. It encompasses genomic documentation, protein synthesis sequences and their models as well as defects in the process (and much more). It also includes the methods of DNA study such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and software used to study it. (2.1,2.2)

That's Great. How does it affect me?
Aside from some random uses, such as comparing oneself to a Neanderthal or something else, bioinformatics allows the look into predisposition to certain diseases. It is also a key aspect of foreinsics and paternity test, but most important, helps foster new research to solve modern day diseases and problems.

How does it work?
Bioinformatics focuses on a genetic sequence and detects anomalities and differences in the code. These are then compared to various databases around the world to allow scientist to determine numerous things.
